Goats
-----

A sticky-note type program for Gnome 2

To install:

./configure
make
make install (as root)

It is recommended to also execute "gconftool-2 --shutdown" (as the user
you are logged in as) before trying to run Goats - this ensures the defaults
will be recognised properly.

If you wish to change the installation prefix for Goats AFTER building
it, you must "make clean", before executing "make" and "make install" again.

For more detailed instructions see the INSTALL file.

To run goats, select "Sticky Notes Applet" from the Add To Panel -> Utility
menu. You cannot run the goats-applet binary directly. You may need to log
out of Gnome and back in again for the applet to appear in the menu.

You can use GConf to create and manipulate goats from other programs -
see the goat-create program for a simple example. It creates a note
containing the text given on the command line (e.g. goat-create "Hi There!").
However this will only work if the applet is present.
